FAQ
What is in the collection now?
The first published source set covers the September 22, 2026 Board of Supervisors public-comment discussion: an embedded video, a searchable working transcript, a downloadable text transcript, and a source-linked report.
Is the project 41 MW or 16 MW?
Multiple speakers discussed a 41 MW figure. At the September 22 meeting, New York GreenCloud founder/CEO Joe Church said 41 MW reflected an earlier range of possibilities and that the company currently plans to seek approval for a 16 MW data center. Until a formal application is published, the archive labels 16 MW as the developer's current stated plan rather than as a final permitted project size.
Did the Board approve or reject the data center on September 22?
No. The discussion occurred during Public Matters Not on the Agenda. The chair stated that no action would be taken during that portion of the meeting, and the data-center discussion ended without a Board vote on the project or on a moratorium.
Did the Board adopt a moratorium?
Not during this meeting segment. Many public commenters requested a temporary pause, while other speakers opposed a moratorium. The archive will track any future agendized ordinance, staff report, motion, or vote separately.
Are the technical claims in public comments treated as verified facts?
No. Claims about water use, jobs, tax revenue, fire risk, tribal jurisdiction, noise, air emissions, power supply, or other impacts are attributed to the people who made them unless the archive has a source document that independently supports the claim.
Why are there spelling errors in the transcript?
The working transcript is derived from machine-generated captions. The archive preserves timestamps and does not silently rewrite the source. Exact quotations, names, and technical terms should be checked against the original video.
