Original scope
The request was directed primarily to the Auditor-Controller and copied to the Sheriff’s Office. The public EML derivative removes the requester’s personal email address and identity while preserving the substantive request.
For fiscal years 2023–2024, 2024–2025, 2025–2026, and fiscal year 2026–2027 through the date of the search, the request sought:
- Complete general-ledger transaction detail for each Sheriff budget unit, department, fund, or cost center, including transaction dates, account/object codes, vendor/payee, descriptions, invoice and purchase-order information where maintained, debits, credits, expenditures, revenues, encumbrances, transfers, and other export fields.
- Separate transaction-level expenditure or revenue reports containing information not included in the general-ledger export.
- A list of all Sheriff financial units and accounts, including budget units, funds, cost centers, trust accounts, and special-revenue accounts.
The request specified that it sought existing accounting records and database exports rather than a newly created analysis.
