Scope of this collection
This collection focuses on Amador County government policies and practices involving sex-offender registration, supervision, residence verification, compliance, enforcement, and interagency coordination. It is not intended to identify or profile individual registrants, victims, or private households. At launch, the archive contains only the two August 26, 2026 CPRA requests; no agency response or responsive production has yet been received.

Two parts of the county system
The requests intentionally separate the Sheriff’s registration and enforcement responsibilities from Probation’s supervision responsibilities.
Sheriff’s Office: registration, compliance, and enforcement
Policies for registration and address verification; compliance checks; suspected Penal Code § 290 violations; interagency coordination; operations and statistics; and records concerning restrictions near places where children congregate.
PendingProbation: supervision and compliance
Supervision policies, contact and home-visit expectations, address verification, risk-based supervision, common probation conditions, violation response, coordinated operations, and existing statistics.

As of August 28, 2026, no response to either August 26 request has been added to the archive. When an acknowledgement, determination, production, or withholding explanation is received, it will be published here with the date and agency identified.
