Requester privacy treatment
Public archive copies omit the requester’s name, email address, street address, and other requester-identifying account details. The substantive notice and exhibit content is otherwise preserved. Original identifying copies remain outside the public site.
Electronic transmission
The saved EML records an email sent July 30, 2026 with the subject “Formal Notice of Apparent ALPR Policy Noncompliance and Demand to Cure.” It was sent to two Sheriff’s Office addresses with County officials copied. The four exhibits listed below were attached to that transmission.
The notice requested a substantive written response by close of business August 7, 2026, in advance of the August 11 Board of Supervisors meeting. No substantive County response specifically addressing this notice is included in the materials supplied to the archive as of August 12.
Printed copies
The source ZIP also contains three substantively near-identical printed versions addressed separately to the Sheriff, County Counsel, and Clerk of the Board. Each states that it was being sent by USPS certified mail with electronic return receipt requested. The package supplied to this archive does not contain postal receipts, so this page does not independently claim certified-mail delivery was completed.

Archive classification
This is submitted correspondence, not an agency finding. The notice’s legal and compliance assertions are attributed to the requester. The accompanying report compares those assertions with Policy 473, the released records, and the text of the cited California ALPR statutes without presenting the notice itself as proof of a violation.
