A living archive, not a character judgment
This page preserves and organizes public statements that were captured in the archived discussions. It does not diagnose motive, temperament, or intent. The source PDFs were prepared from user-provided Nextdoor exports and screenshots; relative timestamps are preserved as displayed, and the PDFs explain where thread nesting or screenshot-only material could not be reconstructed perfectly.
The project reports that one of the two discussions later appeared to be unavailable on the Sheriff’s Nextdoor feed. That later availability status is a project observation and is not established by the transcript itself.
“Cordial dissenting opinions” and the later exchange
In the preserved Flock-response thread, Sheriff Redman’s original post said he wanted to “engage and have cordial dissenting opinions.” Later in that same discussion, he replied to a constituent: “You don’t know jack shit what my duties are. So don’t start preaching to me what I’m supposed to do. Gloves came off kid when you attacked us vets.” He then wrote: “Kid I can do this all night long. I’ve been fighting longer than you have been born. I’ll call out people like you all night long.”
The archive preserves spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and profanity as written. Quotations on this page therefore retain the original wording rather than silently correcting it.
Personal and military-service exchanges
In the burglary thread, after a critic raised a Fourth Amendment objection, Redman wrote: “As an ex military vet and someone who has protected the US Constitution for 34 years what have you done besides post BS and lies on ND?” In a later reply, before knowing that commenter’s military background, he wrote: “Brandon from a guy who didn’t have the sac to pledge your life to protect and lay down your life if necessary. You and Rodney just pissed this vet off.”
After learning that the commenter had served, the exchange moved into branch-of-service arguments. Redman wrote, “You have zero right to demonize my beloved Air Force,” and later: “I’m the Sheriff my little battle army buddy. I’m always wound tight. Why us Security Police Officers became into existence was because in Vietnam your beloved Army failed to protect our bases.”
Statements about dissent and deletion
In the burglary discussion, Redman wrote: “I protect that as well. Why I don’t delete or hid dissenting responses.” The spelling “hid” is preserved exactly as it appears in the archived transcript.
Because the transcript only records the discussion at the time it was captured, it cannot by itself establish what was later deleted, hidden, removed by the platform, or made unavailable for another reason. The source archive is preserved so readers can compare later availability with what was captured.
Statements about authority and constituent criticism
In the same burglary thread, Redman wrote that an elected sheriff “doesn’t answer to the supervisors or single people,” said “As much whining as you’re doing, I’m not changing my mind,” and ended with “Find another Sheriff.” The complete comment gives his stated rationale that the electorate can replace him if the majority disagrees with his decisions.
Why the archive tracks this
The significance here is not whether a reader supports or opposes Flock. The account was being used by the elected Sheriff to discuss official policy, constitutional objections, law-enforcement authority, and the conduct of his office. Preserving the full exchanges allows readers to evaluate tone, professionalism, context, and responsiveness without relying on isolated screenshots or paraphrases.
