Response timeline

Agency response

August 24, 2026: County Counsel responded to the August 12 request and produced an administrative Flock audit workbook. The response also cited several exemptions for records or portions not produced.

Requester clarification

August 25, 2026: The requester explained that the intended record was the previously released report showing Flock detections/hits and related usage information rather than the administrative audit log.

Agency statement

August 26, 2026, 3:01 p.m.: County Counsel said he would follow up with the Sheriff’s Office and asked for the previously received report so the correct update could be identified.

Requester clarification

August 26, 2026, 9:07 p.m.: The requester identified the three reports by name and attached the earlier versions for reference.

Agency statement

August 28, 2026, 9:18 a.m.: County Counsel said the reference attachments had been passed to the Undersheriff and that the County hoped to provide the records the following week.

Final production

September 2, 2026, 11:07 a.m.: County Counsel produced the three requested reports. He stated that the Total Vehicle Volume report only went back 30 days because “that is as long as the data is retained.” The archive treats that statement as specific to the vehicle-volume report and does not extend it to other Flock data categories without additional records.

September 2 records

Public records

The production contains a detailed hotlist source-type CSV, a topic-summary workbook, and a 30-day vehicle-volume workbook.

Source correspondence

Redacted source files

A readable PDF of the seven-message August 24–September 2 exchange and a ZIP containing seven redacted EML derivatives are published below. Requester identifying/contact information and mail-system transport/authentication headers are removed from the public EML derivatives. Agency identities, dates, subjects, message text, and attachments are preserved.

Withholding status

Scope not itemized

The August 24 response cited exemptions but did not identify which specific rows, fields, records, or portions were withheld under each authority. The September 2 corrected production did not provide a separate itemization of those earlier withholdings.
